Excerpt from Mortfield Industries Documents:

Anomaly E-6639 is a group of four humanoid entities that manifest without warning, exhibit violent criminal behavior, on many occasions performing armed robbery and assault. Invariably the entities dress in leather jackets and jeans and wear a variety of clown masks (never repeating the same mask twice). The entities respond to the names: Hughie, Dewey, Jacko and Kate.

Entities appear unpredictably in non-English speaking areas, interacting with locals in violent and chaotic manner.

Entities are resistant to firearms and blunt force trauma but will flee when faced with overwhelming numbers of armed opposition.

The first recorded appearance, was on ███████████████, Oslo, Norway wherein the entities held a small family hostage in the back of a delicatessen while vandalizing the property and playing polka music on the stereo system installed at the deli at decibel levels far beyond what the speakers could be expected to produce.

Transcript of surveillance footage from a Picante y Merienda convenience store:

Madrid, Spain

Tuesday, 3rd March, ██████████

[The sliding glass door opens, a bell ringing as a middle aged woman enters the store.]

Woman: Buenas noches.

[The man behind the counter nods at her and continues to wipe down the area around his cash register. The woman moves towards the back and the refrigerator, where she examines the milk. She considers for a few moments and then selects a bottle of milk and turns towards the front of the store.]

[As she passes the doors, they slide open revealing four figures in black jeans and black leather jackets. Each of the individuals wear varying but similar style clown masks. The woman does not notice them, but the entities turn their heads to follow her progress through the store. She approaches the counter and places the bottle of milk on the surface to dig through her purse.]

[Suddenly, the glass of the store’s door smashes in and the four entities rush the counter carrying miniature bats and knives.]

Shopkeeper: ¡Ey! ¡Vete a la mierda!

Entity 1: Punch and Judy,

Fought for a pie,

Punch gave Judy

A sad blow on the eye.

[The entity swings the bat and strikes the woman in the head. She collapses on the ground.]

Shopkeeper: ¡Madre de dios!

[One of the other entities taps the cash register with their bat.]

Entity 2: R was a robber, and wanted a whip.

Shopkeeper: ¿Qué?

Entity 2: [Turning to one of the other entities carrying a knife.] M was a miser, and hoarded up gold!

Entity 3: D was a drunkard, and had a red face…

Shopkeeper: ¡No hables inglés!

[The first entity starts kicking the woman on the ground while pointing its mask directly at the shopkeeper.]

Entity 1: X was expensive, and so became poor.

[The second entity taps the cash register again. The shopkeeper quickly opens it, allowing the entity to pull it closer and start violently taking out the Euros and quickly slipping them into its pockets. The last entity has started knocking down bottles of wine from the shelves, one by one with its knife.]

Shopkeeper: Por favor no…

Entity 4: [In a sing-song tempo along with the breaking of the bottles.] V was a vintner, who drank all by himself. W was a watchman, and guarded the door.

Entity 3: N was a nobleman, gallant and bold.

[The entity reaches across the counter and drags the shopkeeper out from behind, tossing him through the broken doors of the store onto the sidewalk. Several passersby move quickly out of the entity’s way when it exits the store, before fleeing when they see its knife. The entity bends over the shopkeeper who is trying to crawl away, and pins his leg with its foot causing the shopkeeper to scream as his ankle is visibly deformed under the force.]

Entity 3: Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.

All the king's horses and all the king's men

Couldn't put Humpty together again.

[The first entity is carrying the unconscious woman over its shoulder, then dumps her prone form next to the screaming shopkeeper. The entity that was breaking the wine bottles pours lamp oil out of several bottles out over the two people.]

Entity 4: One a penny, two a penny, hot cross-buns…

[The entity that had taken the money out of the register holds one of the bills in front of the shopkeeper’s face, lighting it with a match. The man begins to moan. A small crowd has gathered across the street, watching in horror.]

[Just as the entity is about to drop the lit bill on the shopkeeper’s wet back, sirens are heard and two police cars roar down the street. Uniformed police exit the vehicles and point their weapons at the entities.]

[The first entity approaches the nearest police officer, brandishing its bat.]

Entity 1: Tom, Tom, the piper's son,

Stole a pig, and away he run!

The pig was eat, and Tom was beat,

And Tom went roaring down the street.

[The police officer opens fire directly into the entity’s clown mask, shattering it. The entity bends over holding its head. The other entities surround the first and help it up. The clown mask is clearly broken and fallen from the entity’s face, showing a shadowy void. The cop screams and fires again, prompting the other police officers to fire their weapons. When they’ve stopped all four entities are on the ground miming being in pain. One of the officers bends down to check for vitals and the entity stabs the police officer in the face, just beneath his right eye.]

Entity 1: Jack be nimble,

Entity 2: Jack be quick,

Entity 3: Jacko thought it was time to get the fuck out of here.

[All four entities leap to their feet and run back into the store while the officers attempt to help their colleague. One of the officers follows them in and sees them run into the back storage area. Calling for reinforcements, he follows. As he enters the storage room, none of the assailants are present and no other exit presents itself.]
